Just to let you know, if you go to our http://videos.addicted2sals... website, we actually have very 'basic' beginner salsa dance videos. We usually recommend newcomers to our show to start with those and work up to the new ones. Hope this helps!

I went salsa dancing for the first time (in public) this last Friday, and it was a gas! I think as long as you're honest with your partner (tell them you're new, but not that you suck), most experienced dancers will be very patient, and will teach you a thing or two. It was really fun, and the music is great!

If you're interested in something and don't want to spend a lot of money, I highly recommend checking out the community colleges in your area. I know rates have gone up, but when I was going classes were $13 a unit, and even with other fees you're not going to find anything as cheap.

I'm going to a Bhangra night in a few weeks, and I'm already excited, even if I have NO idea what I'm doing!

Cody, great recommendation! I love Mint.com, too! I use it to keep an eye on my balances for the week, and it gives a great overview of my finances. And, yep, I use Excel for budgeting, along with a very simple checkbook application (for balancing my bank account).

Thanks for the link to Kogi BBQ. I love them, but I hadn't ever checked out their site. I guess they like WooThemes, too. :-)

Started to use Mint.com to track all accounts, outstanding debts, and even assets like cars. It's simple and they're service keeps getting better. Still using excel for budgeting though. Looking forward to hearing more about what you're learning!

Also, your blog reminded me of my favorite LA food truck!
